Description
This image of the 'diamond ring' of the 2017 eclipse was taken in the brief few seconds as the sun emerged from behind the moon. We were near Chattanooga in Pikeville, Tennessee. We were so impressed by the eclipse that we never noticed the cloud that was in front of the eclipse, however, we actually think it adds to the dark sky.
